First-principles simulations of novel materials, quantum materials, and spectroscopic calculations.

Project Topics and Descriptions:

• Fundamental research on the properties of two-dimensional quantum materials
(Understanding the electrical and magnetic properties of semiconductor-related materials to enhance future academic or career development.)

• Theoretical understanding of spectroscopy and dielectric properties
(Opportunities to collaborate with advanced experimental teams.)

Project Student Limit: 2–3 students

Requirements for Students:

• Interest in physics and curiosity about material properties

• Willingness to work with computers (workstation level or above)

Additional Notes:

• Literature review and academic paper collection

• Software usage training and practice

• Hands-on experience with high-performance computing platforms
