Research Achievements:http://teacher.tku.edu.tw/PsnProfile.aspx?u=t718705
Research Area: Computational Materials Physics, Computer Simulation, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence
Project Topics and Main Content:
1.Projects that require programming skills:
(1) Plan, build, adjust, and manage computing platforms.
(2) Perform machine learning and property prediction based on materials property big data.
(3) Tune and develop algorithms for new functionality.
2.Projects that do not require programming:
Use 3D software suites for property calculations and materials design
(including nonlinear optical materials, optoelectronic materials, and novel catalysts).
Project Student Limit:Up to 8 students
Student Requirements:
• Present weekly progress in the lab via PowerPoint and oral report. All other work may be done remotely.
• Emphasis on learning by doing, goal-oriented, patch knowledge gaps as needed, and topic changes are allowed.
• Each student must complete at least one full mini-project by the end of the semester.
Additional Notes:
• Best suited for students who enjoy working with computers (not related to gaming).
• You will gain substantial experience with both software/hardware tools and fundamental knowledge in physics and mathematics.
